Transportation Information

The closest and best airport option is Riverton Regional Airport (RIW), about 40 minutes from campus.  Riverton is serviced from Denver International Airport (DIA) by the Denver Air Connection (www.denverairconnection.com).  One way tickets from Denver to Riverton usually cost between $80-$120.

The Casper-Natrona County International Airport (CPR), serviced by Delta and United, is 2.5 hours from campus.

Salt Lake City (4.5 hours away) and Denver (6 hours away) have major airports and provide lower fare options.

Shuttles to the Riverton airport are offered at the beginning and end as well as throughout the semester.  Shuttles are offered to the Denver airport at the beginning and end of each semester.

Lander is located in the central western part of Wyoming next to the Wind River Mountain Range.  The town stands about equidistant from three major cities in the Rocky Mountain West region: Salt Lake City (ca. 300 miles), Denver (ca. 360 miles), and Billings (ca. 290 miles).  It is near several major national parks: Yellowstone National Park Southern Entrance (ca. 150 miles) and Grand Teton National Park (ca. 100 miles).

Wyoming roads are scenic and traffic-free.  Since winter road conditions can affect travel, we recommend using Wyoming Department of Transportation’s Road Condition Website before travel (www.wyoroad.info).  The College monitors the road conditions surrounding school breaks and outdoor trips in order to give the students up-to-date information before they leave campus.

The school has a fleet of vehicles used for school purposes. There are shuttles that go between campus locations for masses, meals, intramural sports, off-site classes (such as horsemanship and field science), and other events.

Shuttles are driven by students or staff members who have been through the College’s drivers training program and been cleared to be on the College’s insurance.

There is parking for students  with personal cars at all Residence Halls and Frassati Hall.  There is no cost for parking a vehicle on campus. However, vehicles must be registered with the Registrar.
